Description of a new cave centipede from Velebit Mt., Croatia

A scientific article describing a new species of troglophilic centipede Eupolybothrus liburnicus sp. n. has been published. Specimens were collected in caves of Velebit Mountain in Croatia.

The article is part of an ongoing revision of the subfamily Ethopolyinae. Along with the description of the new species, authors discuss subgenus Schizopolybothrus morphology, re-describe the type material of E. spiniger and E. acherontis wardaranus, and designate a lectotype for both E. spiniger and E. caesar.

Among the authors is Ana Komerički, Croatian Biospeleological Society member and an expert for underground centipedes.
