Biospeleological research in Plitvice Lakes National Park
This spring we started the fourth year of cave fauna inventory at Plitvice Lakes National Park. This year we are focusing on the southern part of the Park, where there are significantly fewer pits and caves, but the forest is just as beautiful.
In addition to the standard invertebrates that we already more or less know, we were surprised by a mother bear with three cubs and a hind with a newly weaned calf. We didn’t manage to take photos of the cubs, but here are some photos of the lesser known details of the Plitvice Lakes.
