Cooperation with Dubrovnik Libraries

Dubrovnik libraries in cooperation with the Croatian Biospeleological Society organize a lecture by speleologist Dora Kermek “Life in the Dark”. The lecture, which is part of the “Underground mirror – hidden wells of the tourist pearl of the Adriatic” project, will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, starting at 6 p.m. in the Reading Room of the City Public Library.

Hidden from the human eye, beneath the surface of the City lies a life full of surprises. From the well-known olm to still undiscovered species, these animals manage to survive extreme underground conditions. Speaking about the rich fauna of springs, Dora will supplement the lecture with new knowledge about the fauna of wells connected with underground water.

“Life in the Dark” is part of the project “Underground mirror – hidden wells of the tourist pearl of the Adriatic” financed by the City of Dubrovnik.
