A Glimpse into the Underground World of Barać Caves

At Speleon – the Center for Underground Heritage, on March 17th 2025, we had the chance to attend fascinating lectures on the latest research into underground fauna!

Nikolina Kuharić presented research on speleological and biospeleological phenomena in caves and pits closed to the public, as well as the monitoring of key underground species.

Vida Zrnčić shared insights into the study of bat distribution and the establishment of population monitoring in the Barać Caves area.
