Exploration of Vetrova špilja
The Vetrova špilja cave was discovered in 2022 and is one of the most significant caves in the Telašćica Nature Park. It is located in the large amphitheater of the Dugi otok escarpment, and consists of submerged and partially submerged channels. Beautifully visible thinly layered limestones also give the cave geomorphological significance.
Between June 13 and 16, 2024, in cooperation with Telašćica Nature Park, we conducted speleodiving research and made a topographic survey. In addition to mapping underwater and dry parts, marine fauna was recorded and geological forms were studied.
